With all the attention on us now being a official Olympic sports BMX freestyle is blowing up all over the world, and just as much in Belgium.
At least one contest a month and now also a Belgium Cup with 4 stops.

R.I.P. Seppe

With a lot of sadness i have to announce that Seppe past away way to soon.

Seppe was the first rider we ever sponsored with Crank, and was someone who lived and rode 110% all the time. He will be missed a lot and i'm thankful for all the fond memories we hold on Seppe.

He will for always be that rider who as a young kid could not take it the GT team was doing bigger tricks then him in a demo, and decided to do every trick they did, but then opposite.

The day after that demo, he got a free GT bike. that's how Seppe rolled...

This year the daytrip camp will be 040 bmx park in the netherlands,
and that is pretty much my favorite park in europe!

We currently don't offer a insurance for our riders.
Working on a plan to change over to the Flemish Cycle Association.

Starting date is first day of 2016  

City battle 11

BMX City battle 11 will take place on saterday 22 august,

30 year of riding BMX!!!

12 may 1985 was a important date for me as it was the day my dad bought me my very first 20" BMX bike. (a german made BMX bought at makro for 2999 Bfr)
So as some of you know i started filming for my 30 years in bmx edit by going for big rails again.
Well, filming ended with me not landing a 20+ stair rail and loosing some teeth and waking up in the ER room. I still had enough footage for the edit, but as luck will have it, my Editor also went down and also had a concussion. So don't worry, there will be an edit coming out, i just don't know when.

as for dates: saterday 22 august 2015 is city battle 11 in kooigem
 and saterday 26 september 2015 is a huge BMX contest at the skatebowl followed with a music festival.

Demo Crank BMX Saturday 18 Januari

Saturday evening the 18th of january we are doing a BMX Demo on our new jumpbox!

DIY build camp

it was a lot of work to get the park done, but it's all worth it.
this was one of the best contests i've ever done in belgium.
the level was insane. how many contest do you know where 10 riders could do 360 tailwhips?

City Battle 8 - 17 AUG - It's a GO!!!

Yep, we are doing it again this year.
The park was not ready again this year, and what was worse, the parts that where done were pretty bad.
So step in crankbmx, and we are now doing it ourself, so kooigem will be again the kick as park it was when we first build it 10 years ago.

We could still use your help, so show up and give a hand!

City battle is on for 17 august 2013
start at 14h with amateur.
last battle 17h30 with the final battle in pro.
riding is free as always

Big air pool jam was great!

We had such a great time this sunday.

F.A.Q. for sunday 12 may

so here are the most asked questions for Sunday answered:
Can i ride something else that a BMX?
    No. Sorry. Just due to safety reasons.

Will the ramp really be 6m high and steep?
  No, it's actually 6m40 high and very steep. you will go fast.

What do i need to bring?
 Swim shorts and shoe's that can be whet. We provide bikes, a surf shirt and a helmet

What if it rains a bit?
 Think about it for a minute, you are landing in a swimming pool, so a bit of rain is no problem.

12 may Contest

So here is some info for the event:
Grounded is providing bikes, but if you really want to use yours you can (as long as it's all sealed bearings!)
We will also provide wakeboard helmets (water is hard if you hit it wrong)
2 category's, Pro and Amateur
Am's ride for stuff, and the best move on to Pro
Pro rides for cash money. (1st= 300€, 2nd= 240€, 3th=180€, 4th=120 and 5th is 60€)
Best trick (from the whole event) gets 100€ cash
entry fee is as always on crank events free

registration is between 13h30 and 14h (real time, not bmx time!)
14h till 16h is amateur
17h till 18h is pro
times are going to be hold, i still need to dismantle the whole thing after the contest.

if you want to ride, please have some bmx background. 6m high at 70° steep looks like fun on paper,
but it looks like *$#@! when you are standing on top of it!
