the generation show

yesterday they aired the generation show here in belgium, it had a BMX item in it with crank team riders:

janne, jimmy, gilles and pieter's 5 econds of fame!

crank demo's

since the start of crank, now over 10 years ago, people have asked us to do demo's,
and we have done things from small demo's for a junior school, to big summer event demo's all over the country for siemens mobile.
we've also been involved in TV stuff from regional TV stations, to music video's that aired every hour on MTV europe.
this all has been possible thanks to a great team.
and with hannu having 2 world titels (in both expert and master street) we had big names and great riders as well.
well, i'm very happy to say that we are adding some great team riders,
they both did allreaddy some demo's with us, but now they are official crank riders.
what ever that may mean!

first up is belgians best flatland rider: gilles van de sompel

second rider is non other that jimmy van belle
he has been a great friend and insane rider and can proof it
only 19 year old, but allreaddy 2 world titles (expert mini in '05 and master vert in '09)
jimmy is also the only rider i now who uses frontflips and 720's to exit a skatepark.

the tubes are in...

so don't worry if you blow a tire during your next contest in belgium,

just as the rider, tubes are no secured as well...

So with the time off x-mas and so, here is some skatepark updates:

newpact:
they have found a new building and started building from zero.
according true the info, using frank's topramps "unique" construction technique
in short, the ramps will again be build without 2x4's and will move when you ride them...

forward:
skatepark is open, and according to pictures looks good.
as for what i've heard, it's plastic pegs only, but i don't mind that.

zumiez:
racebikes only.

oostende:
is finaly being build!
so far the good news i'm afraid.
it's being build by olivier construct from izegem!!!
they do build very nice roads and bridges.
it's going to prefab, and the old bad plan is now changed in a lite version of that plan.
so good job oostende on spending lot's of €'s on a 70's style snakerun.
next time use a skatepark builder.

remember the picture contest?

well...
We won!
yep, 5th place in the main competition, and thats good for 500€ (=$730),
and the picture is going to be published what is even better.
the plan is to go to the decathlon superstore here and buy 500€ inner tubes!
then everyone who ever brakes one at one of our contests will get a new one for free.
this should last us a few years.
beside it, it will be cool to just go order so many tubes.
